Our 1st site, #82 was not clean. There were peanut shells and cigarette butts around the campsite and trash in the fire ring. Wi-Fi was good here, but when we had to move to site #30, it was non existent. RV's are parked in all directions, wherever they can fit one in. Few sites are level and the asphalt parking pad is narrow. You will be living in dirt, or in our case, mud as it was raining. Our AT&T cell phone had no reception at the park. This is an older park that the owners are apparently putting no money into to update it. Regretfully, about the only choice in town.
After you get past the 20 minute spiel the owner/manager gives you (want it or not), we were led to our site. Sites are narrow gravel pads, reasonably spaced, marginally level. There are a lot of live-ins here, and much of the usual tacky amenities that go along with that. No Wi-Fi here and no satellite, due to trees. Gun shots from a nearby shooting range/military range were nearly constant and very distracting. Guess one gets used to the noise. We will not return!
This is a very nice park for long term stay. The sites are large at 45', and all have a 25' wide concrete patio. Though this is mostly a park model park, the RV's are generally kept together in the North Point section, giving you the feeling that you are not part of a park model park. The roads here are generous allowing no difficulty in parking. The 27 holes of golf also add green space and separation to the numerous sites. Activities are abundant for winter snow birds and many folks come for 3-6 months in the winter. The golf course is in reasonable condition and the green fees run about $27 with a punch card. The only negative issue about this park that prevents me from giving it a 10, is the miserable WiFi service, which costs an additional $30/mth. It is weak, very unreliable, is exceedingly slow, has numerous drop outs and is generally undependable. It is a shame, considering how much we all use the internet these days. Management doesn't seem to respond to the internet problem.
Nice park with some spacious grassy sites 35' wide. There are also sites much smaller. Wi-Fi is excellent, but any time over 30 minutes costs extra. Office and facilities are good, as is park access. Both wooded and open sites. Personnel were helpful and friendly. We would stay here again!
This park does not begin to represent the ratings given it by Trailer Life. Upon our arrival, we found it has not been kept up, and there are numerous permanent residents that do not help its appearance. Our river site was dirt, no grass. One would not want to be there in the rain (mud). Wi-Fi was strange, doled out in 30 minute increments that one had to return to the office to renew, only if the office was open. Laundry facilities appeared marginal. This park is some 15 miles from Lake George village, not at all convenient. Our friends had a pull-thru site that was very difficult to get into and out of. This is not a "big-rig" park. Pool was drained. Water pressure too low to use without our on board pump.
There are some roughly hewn wooded sites in this park that are not particularly level - caution. The better larger pull throughs are new and can be either spacious or you may be only 3' slide to slide from your neighbor. There are only 5 of them. We were not able to get WiFi, which was even spotty and weak at the office. 50 amp power and water were good. We were about 8 miles from Baddeck. I would not return to this park. We prefer parks slightly more finished in our opinion.
The daily rate we paid reflects an ocean front site with an unrestricted view. Sites are grassy and well manicured. We found the 30 amp power somewhat marginal and the water pressure on the low side. Our site was 27' wide. Park would feel somewhat crowded if full. There is not too much to do around here other than the quaint village of Annapolis Royal. Digby is 30 miles away. The pool and facilities are clean and orderly. WiFi was good at our site.
This park has many full time residents or vacation units. Our site was a roughly hewn pullthru, not very level. the park is not especially attractive, though it is conveniently located near the PEI ferry. Pictou is a charming town and worth the visit. The owner/manager of the park is a delightful fellow, very friendly and helpful.
This is a fairly young ordinary rv park with spaces reasonably sized. It is not luxurious, nor would I describe it as a destination park. When the trees mature, there will be more shade available. This is the closest park to downtown Fredericksburg. We found the office staff very friendly and helpful. This is a winter Texan park with nearly all spaces filled for this coming winter. Cable tv has recently been upgraded to digital, and we found the wi-fi somewhat slow and spotty. All in all, a good place to stay while you enjoy the surrounding area. L B J golf course is only 3 miles away!
This may be the nicest natural looking park we have stayed in. It is comfortable with 3 sections of large sites, some shaded, arranged in a circle around a large natural area. There are also newly added jumbo back-in sites. All sites have a concrete patio. The surrounding grounds are well landscaped. This area is a spot popular for migrating birds, hence flowering plants are planted throughout the park. The pool and spa are delightful, as are the very friendly office staff. This is a park to put on you list if you haven't been here!
This is a beautiful campground with nicely landscaped spacious sites. Sites are sold and then rented to visitors. Hence, the reservation system is completely controlled by computer and there is no opportunity to select a site or to change sites if you are dissatisfied. Rate above is for a 1 week stay and does not reflect electric charges, which are additional. The pool and hot tub can be far away, depending on your location, and during our visit, the spa was covered with a heavy cover that discouraged use. The temperature was too cool to use it anyway. There is a nice walkway to the beach. The reservation staff were moderately friendly. One gets the feeling they don't really need your business, which they don't.
Sites are close together here and the park has an air of the "old style". Roads are paved but all else is 1 1/2" rock that you get to camp on. Location is OK but this park is not our cup of tea. If it were full, it would be a mess! Office staff were very friendly. Hot tub/spa is above ground portable type.
